MACH ADCH Red-Dawn Blue Sage, MX, MXJ, MXF, TM-Platinum (and many more titles) is an agility champion of national stature. She has been a semi-finalist every year that she has been old enough to compete at the Cynosport World Games.
She won the Del Mar “Palm Classic” Dog Agility $1,000 Speed Challenge and currently holds the title for the fastest dog in yards per second at this Del Mar Grand Prix.
Sage is a beautiful blue merle female with stunning blue eyes. She comes from a line of herding dogs who are now excelling in all dog sports.
Sage is the is the granddaughter of John Wilson's blue merle Irish Imported trial dog, Scott. She is a Great Granddaughter of Dowdall's "Dell", ISDS 187939. Dell produced 9 dogs who have competed on the Irish National Team. Her Great Grandfather is "Kilkerrian Scott" ISDS 166605, a well-known trial dog and top producing herding dog in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Her Great Great Grandfather Pip, ISDS 124578, won the Irish National Championship three times and Irish Brace Champion in 1989, plus many other championships; as did his father Scott, ISDS 57965, in 1974 and 1978. In addition, Sage goes back to the famous J.J. Templeton's Roy, ISDS 114678, the top winning dog in the 80's.
Sage’s Grandmother is from the Sagebrush kennel. Her Great Grandfather is Sagebrush Saber and Great Great Grandfather is Sagebrush Sam. This line is known for practical working farm and ranch dogs plus trial dogs. It is one of the oldest and established working border collie kennels in America. They have a reputation for producing healthy dogs with good hips and they are one of the first kennels to begin OFA on their breeding stock in the 80's.
Sage is an agility, Frisbee and trick dog in a couple of feature films and also appeared in a few border collie calendars. Sage has been in many commercials and is planning on continuing her acting career, along with her agility competition. She won the Del Mar “Palm Classic” Dog Agility $1,000 Speed Challenge and currently holds the title for the fastest dog in yards per second at this Del Mar Grand Prix. Sage placed 2nd in the 2010 Purina Incredible Dog 60 Weave Pole Challenge Western Regional and earned an invitation to the National Finals at Purina Farms in October 2010.
